Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-05-24

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using Football Editor (the "Service"), available at https://footballeditor.com and https://app.footballeditor.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. About the Service

Football Editor is a free web-based application for drawing, animating, and exporting football (soccer) training exercises. It is created and operated by Dariusz Meissner, an individual based in Poland.

The Service runs in your browser and can be used without an account. You may optionally create a free account (with email and password, or by signing in with Google) to save your training files in the cloud, organise them into projects, invite collaborators to a team, and access your work from any device.

3. License to use the Service

Subject to these Terms, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for both personal and professional purposes (for example, planning training sessions for a team you coach), free of charge.

4. Your content

Exercises, drawings, project files, images, videos, and any other content you create with the Service ("Your Content") belong entirely to you. We do not claim any ownership over Your Content.

If you choose to save Your Content to our cloud (by signing in and using the cloud save feature), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, transmit, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you and to the collaborators you invite. This licence ends when you delete the content from the Service or delete your account.

You are responsible for keeping local backups of work you cannot afford to lose. While we operate the Service with reasonable care, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and we are not liable for loss of cloud-stored data (see §11). You can export Your Content as JPG, video, or local project files from inside the editor at any time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual-property rights or violates the law.
  • Share your account credentials with anyone or operate more than one account per person.
  • Abuse cloud storage or share links to circumvent free-plan limits, distribute unrelated content, or transfer files at scale.
  • Attempt to disrupt, attack, or reverse engineer the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use automated systems (scrapers, bots) in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on the Service.
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or infringe the rights of others.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute the Service itself (you may freely sell or distribute Your Content created with it).

6. Accounts

You may create one account per person. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.

You may delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected] from the address registered on the account. Upon a deletion request your account, files, and team metadata are scheduled for permanent removal and are typically purged within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate §5 or applicable law (see §13).

7. Team collaboration

If you create a team or invite collaborators, the team owner and admins are responsible for the people they invite and for the activity that takes place under the team. If you create a share link, you are responsible for choosing whom to give the link to; anyone holding a valid link can access the shared file or project with the role you selected until the link expires or you revoke it.

Collaborators you grant editor or higher roles can modify and delete content within the scope of their role. We are not liable for changes a collaborator makes to your content.

8. Storage and plan limits

The free plan currently allows one team per user with up to 3 members, and a fair amount of projects and files per team. We may adjust limits to remain within the free-tier capacity offered by our infrastructure providers. If your usage exceeds fair-use thresholds or appears to be automated bulk usage, we may pause writes, ask you to reduce usage, or move you to a paid plan if one is available.

Paid plans, when introduced, will be described separately and require your explicit acceptance of any additional terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its source code, design, branding, illustrations, 3D models, and other assets we provide, is owned by Dariusz Meissner and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of the Service to you.

Third-party assets (libraries, fonts, models) used in the Service remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their respective licenses.

10. Analytics and advertising

The Service uses Google Analytics to collect pseudonymous usage statistics. In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland this happens only after you grant consent via the cookie banner; elsewhere it is enabled by default and you may opt out at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.

We also plan to introduce Google AdSense on parts of the Service to help cover operating costs. When AdSense is enabled, advertising-related processing will be subject to your consent where required by law. By using the Service after ads are introduced you acknowledge that ads may be displayed.

For full details on what is collected, the cookies involved, retention periods, and how to opt out, see our Privacy Policy.

11. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party providers, currently Cloudflare for hosting and Google for analytics, and (once enabled) Google AdSense for advertising. Your use of the Service is also subject to their respective terms and policies, listed in our Privacy Policy.

Advertisements served through Google AdSense may link to third-party websites. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content, products, or practices of those advertisers or any other third-party site linked from the Service.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected. You use the Service at your own risk.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dariusz Meissner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of work, or loss of profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (for example, liability for gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or consumer rights under mandatory Polish or EU law).

14. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time and without notice. We may also add, change, or remove features. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification or discontinuation of the Service.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or applicable law.

Upon termination of your account (by you or by us), your cloud-stored files, projects, team memberships, and share links are scheduled for permanent deletion and are typically purged within 30 days. Export anything you want to keep — JPG, video, or local project files — from inside the editor before terminating.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the courts having jurisdiction over the seat of Dariusz Meissner, unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise (in which case you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence within the EU).

18. Beta status of cloud features

Cloud storage, team collaboration, share links, and the soft-lock that prevents two editors from clobbering each other's work are under active development. Their behaviour, limits, and user interface may change with notice in this document and the in-app changelog. Real-time multi-user editing is not currently supported and is planned as a future paid feature.
